11th Jan，China Big Data application Alliance -Smart poles division forum opening ceremony were held in Beijing.

 The Forum was under the leadership of China Bigdata Application Alliance, formed by independent smart pole operators and related institutions. It intends to research and assist the development of smart pole industry.

Astro Tower joined the meeting as an active participant. Under the theme of building the eco system and share prosperity together, many scholars, specialists and executives came to the meeting.

There were valuable case studies and project presentations, the meeting was fruitful. 

The meeting introduced the need and opportunities of applications of smart poles in M2M network, smart city, 5G scenario.  As a highly integrated system there are risks and issues for smart pole participants to pay attention to. For instance, hard risks as falling, Lightning strike, earthquake, wind vibration, Typhoon, electricity leakage, sealing breach. Soft risks are hacking, EMP ect.
